This website is operated by NORTHBITE ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting this site or placing an order, you agree to the terms below. Please read them.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. By ordering, you confirm the information you give us is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

2. Products, descriptions and images

We describe our products as accurately as we can, including a "Worth knowing before you buy" section on each listing stating the real limits of the item. Product photographs are supplied by the manufacturer. Colours can vary between screens, and packaging and minor design details can change between production batches.

Electronic fishing equipment — sonar units, underwater cameras, bait boats and bite alarms — depends on conditions. Water clarity, depth, temperature, weed cover and interference all affect performance. Nothing on this site is a promise that you will catch fish.

3. Prices and availability

All prices are in US dollars. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order already placed and paid for. If an item turns out to be unavailable after you order it, we will contact you and refund you in full.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — including where a product has been listed at an obviously incorrect price, where we suspect fraud, or where an order appears to be for resale. If we cancel an order you have paid for, you receive a full refund.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout. We do not store your card details; payments are handled by our payment provider.

5. Shipping and returns

Delivery is covered by our shipping policy, and returns and refunds by our refund policy. Both form part of these terms.

6. Safe and lawful use

You are responsible for using our products safely and legally. Fishing is regulated, and the rules differ by state and by water. Some of what we sell — bait traps, bite alarms, remote-controlled bait boats, and the use of sonar or underwater cameras — is restricted or prohibited in some places and on some waters. Check the rules that apply where you fish before you use the item. We are not responsible for fines, confiscation or losses arising from unlawful use.

Items containing lithium batteries must be charged, stored and transported in line with the instructions supplied with the product.

7. Brands

NORTHBITE is an independent retailer. Any third-party brand names mentioned on this site are the property of their owners and are used for comparison only. We do not sell, and are not authorised dealers of, any third-party brand.

8. Your account and your content

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Any review or comment you submit must be your own, honest, and free of unlawful or offensive material. We may remove content that isn't.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a product or to this site is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example lost fishing time, a missed trip, or damage caused by using a product contrary to its instructions.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited, including your rights in respect of faulty goods.
